“Lucy has taught us how to communicate with our daughter”

Our daughter was 3 when we started with Lucy. From the beginning we knew we wanted to move forward with her. She was very thorough and even at that first meeting we could see that she was going to make a significant impact on our daughter’s behaviour and speech. Our daughter is now 6 and she has made great strides in all her areas of deficiency. Therapy with Lucy has not only helped her with communication and behaviourable issues but by being able to sit in during the sessions Lucy has taught us how to communicate with our daughter and how we should apply the methods at home for continually improvement. Lucy creates a very fun and relaxed environment, but is still able to command the room with a no nonsense approach. Her skills allow her to use any mood or behaviour the child is exhibiting for learning and language. To this day we still continue to use her services and would highly recommend her as a therapist for children with speech and behaviourable issues.

“It is teachers like Lucy that make a difference to the lives of students”

Lucy Marks was recommended to us by a Professor from Murdoch University, Perth. She has been working with our 13 year old son who has special needs for the last 2 years. We truly appreciate the professional and caring approach she has towards our son. Lucy is very focused and systematic in her approach. Our son’s reading, comprehension and maths are improving with Lucy’s tutelage.
It is teachers like Lucy that make a difference to the lives of students and their ability to work and lean. She constantly shares with us the goals, work and progress our son is making with her. I would highly recommend Lucy as a tutor to parents who value academic progress in their child who might be struggling. I would be happy to answer any question as to the validity of Lucy as a teacher.

“Lucy understands that each child is different, and treats them accordingly”

Daniel, my gorgeous son, has autism. Daniel had a lot of extreme repetitive behaviours, obsessions, difficult behaviours and a lack of communication and social skills. Since consistently working with Lucy Marks, and following her strategies, there has been a remarkable turnaround with Daniels behaviours. I was immediately impressed with the fact that Lucy understands that each child is different, and treats them according (accordingly) to their own unique needs. Lucy provides extremely helpful advice, emotional support and therapy services to support children with special needs, and their families, at home and at school. Lucy has been a godsend in helping us unlock Daniels potential and getting the positive results we are seeing today. I honestly don’t think our family could have coped without Lucy. We are not out of the woods yet, but I can see there is definitely a beautiful light at the end of the tunnel. I cannot stress enough my enthusiastic recommendation for Lucy Marks, as the most effective way to improve a child’s behavioural problems.

“We are so excited to see what the future has to bring for our daughter”

Our daughter started ABA with Lucy Marks at around age 4, and now she is 8. She has improved enormously in the last 4 years. Her academic level is satisfactory. Her reading skills are overall higher than other kids in her class. Her social skills with kids her own age have improved tremendously. Her involvement with family and friends has increased. Her play skills have improved. Her behaviour has improved dramatically. We are slowly beginning to fade out, since our daughter has been doing so well. We are excited for our daughter to be mainstreamed in a typical classroom. We are so excited to see what the future has to bring for our daughter. I would recommend Lucy Marks to anyone for her professional and effective service to children needing ABA therapy.

“His whole face lights up..he is so pleased with himself when he gets it right”

Lucy has been an angel for our family; I cannot recommend her highly enough. Lucy has not only helped our son Jack, she has given our whole family the tools and confidence to change and manage Jacks behavior. Lucy has been giving Jack therapy, helping him with learning, behavior and speech. She is amazing with Jack, so calm and encouraging, his whole face lights up and he is so pleased with himself, when he gets it right. Jack’s speech, learning and interaction with peers have improved. Teachers, family and friends have all noticed a big change in Jack overall. I truly don’t know where we would be if we had not found Lucy, she has been a huge blessing to our family.
